Duty of care

Credit institutions may not open the testamentary file until the interested parties have signed the application for the testamentary file to be processed and all the necessary documentation has been provided.

There is no set deadline for processing testamentary files. However, there should be no unjustified delay by banks in delivering the relevant funds or in making the name changes in the relevant accounts.
