Mortgage debtor subrogation fee
The subrogation of the debtor is an amendment of the mortgage contract that consists of changing the mortgage holder. The subrogation fee reimburses the bank for the formalities it must perform to change the content of the contract and the risk analysis it must carry out.
When is it usually charged?
- If it is agreed, in cases of sale of the mortgaged property in which a third party (normally the buyer) assumes the debt.
- In the case of the purchase/sale from/to the developer of new homes.
