2 October: Financial Education Day

12/09/2023

On 2 October we will be celebrating Financial Education Day under the theme “Inclusive Finance – Finance for All”. This year’s main event will be held in Seville and be live streamed on our Finance for All website.

For the coordinators of the Financial Education Plan, among them the Banco de España, ensuring the financial inclusion of all members of the public is essential, particularly vulnerable groups such as individuals with low digital literacy, those at risk of social exclusion and people with disabilities, along with children and young people.

With this in mind, the institutions that work to advance financial education organise public and private initiatives, both in Spain and internationally, with a view to reducing the risk of financial exclusion.

As usual, the main event of Financial Education Day will include the final of the Financial Literacy Competition 2023 and the Finance for All Awards ceremony, honouring those institutions and individuals that have shown an outstanding commitment to financial education.

Ahead of the big day, the institutions behind the Financial Education Plan will be holding events across the country to raise public awareness of the core principles of responsible personal finances. The calendar of events will be available soon on the Finance for All website and social media accounts: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Other public events have also been organised, such as the traditional Virtual Charity Run for Financial Education and Inclusion, scheduled for 24 September at 10 a.m. in Madrid’s Parque Forestal de Valdebebas Felipe VI, with the option to participate virtually (register here by 22 September), as well as table tennis tables open to all on 1 October in the Paseo de Coches in Retiro Park (Madrid) and in Plaza de San Francisco (Seville).
