Global Money Week 2025 is here

17/03/2025

This week is celebrated in much of the world the 13th edition of the Global Money Week (GMW). This campaign, organised by the OECD/INFE, aims to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to make well-informed financial decisions throughout their lives.

This year, the GMW is being held under the slogan ‘Giving that like does not rent you. Take care of your money’, and is related to the risks of following in networks some of the so-called finfluencers, false experts, many of them, who can offer inappropriate financial advice and generate illusory expectations. Specifically, those influencers who promise quick and excessive benefits in exchange for registering for their courses.

The entities that collaborate Abre en ventana nuevain the Financial Education Plan are responsible for organizing most of the activities in our country. The Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Enterprise, the CNMV, and the Banco de España, as promoters of the Plan, will hold, for example, workshops in the finalist educational centers of the 2024 Financial Knowledge Contest. It is important to highlight the relevant participation of the branches of the Bank of Spain, which will organize various workshops and activities in their respective headquarters.

The Finance for All social networks will collect the activities planned for this week, and the News section of the Finance for All website will publish daily articles on topics related to this year's theme: digital banking, secure cashless payments, reliable financial information, decision biases, digital capture techniques and social trading.

GMW’s permanent slogan is ‘Learn. Save, Win’. Under these principles, GMW organizers have developed a guide Abre en ventana nuevathat contains examples of financial education activities for children and young people through traditional and digital media.
