The 12th edition of the Generation €uro Students’ Award kicks off

11/10/2022

The Generation €uro Students’ Award is a joint initiative of the European Central Bank (ECB) and 12 Eurosystem central banks, including the Banco de España, aimed at students in the last two years of secondary education (Bachillerato) or on intermediate vocational courses willing to learn through play about the functioning of the euro area monetary policy and its relationship with the economy as a whole.

In order to take part, you need to form a team of five students coordinated by a teacher from the same school and to register on the www.generacioneuro.es website by 11 November.

The teams face three tests: an online quiz, a developmental exercise and a presentation of an analytical proposal on monetary policy to a jury.

The coordinating teacher and each of the students of the winning team will receive a diploma and a EUR 600 gift voucher. The members of the first runner-up team will receive a diploma and a EUR 300 gift voucher. The second runner-up team will receive a diploma and a EUR 200 gift voucher.

The winning teams from each country will participate in the European award ceremony, which the ECB is expected to hold in May.

Full details of this year’s competition, including the entry form, are available on the competition website https://www.generationeuro.eu/es-es/home.
