New section: Mortgagors experiencing financial hardship
Since 2012, families with a mortgage who are experiencing financial and social hardship are covered by the protective measures included in the Code of Good Practice (CGP), to which banks can voluntarily adhere.
We have added a new section to the Bank Customer Portal on Mortgagors Experiencing Financial Hardship, where we explain everything about the Code of Good Practice.
Some of the issues addressed are the eligibility requirements, the measures included in the code and how to apply for them, and the different versions of the code.
Additionally, we provide you with useful information, such as links to the code, the complaints procedure and the list of participating banks.
