The Banco de España, serving the community


All the Banco de España’s activity is focused, directly or indirectly, on serving the community. Part of the public service it provides is especially geared to improving the relationship between supervised entities and their customers. This brochure describes those services.

As you are reading this blog post you may well already know that the Banco de España disseminates information, through its Bank Customer Portal, to help people gain a better understanding of bank services and products and of their rights as regards transparency and good banking practice. Last year the Portal received almost 5.5 million hits.

The brochure  (530 KB) (in Spanish), also provides advice on the procedures to be followed for making enquiries and filing complaints, and offers details of other services that the Banco de España provides to the community.
