The Banco de España’s Institutions Register is getting a makeover

The Banco de España’s Institutions RegisterAbre en ventana nueva offers an online source of information on institutions authorised to operate in Spain under the supervision of the Banco de España or the European Central Bank.
This year, we’ve updated its design to make finding information easier, faster and more intuitive.
The new Register helps you:
- check which banks are registered and what financial activities they are allowed to carry out
- look up a bank’s current and past authorisations in just a few clicks, using its trading name, code or legal name
- run quick, accurate searches on a user-friendly page inspired by leading search engines
- download information and create tailored searches using dashboardsAbre en ventana nueva adapted to your needs
- subscribe to alertsAbre en ventana nueva for changes to the entries for the institutions you’re interested in.
Using the Register is free. If you are thinking about taking out a financial product, check first whether the institution offering it is registered and review the information available about it. Depending on the product, it may also be worth checking other registers or official sources.
