Survey of Financial Competences 2021

The Banco de España has published the Survey of Financial Competences (SFC) 2021, which adapts to the Spanish context the questionnaire drawn up by representatives from the governments and central banks of around 30 countries in the OECD International Network on Financial Education.

The survey provides insight into the public’s understanding of basic financial concepts as well as their knowledge, ownership, acquisition and use of various financial instruments related to saving, insurance and debt. The SFC, included in the National Statistics Plan, is a key component of the Financial Education Plan for designing new initiatives.
