New ATMs are more accessible

All banking customers, whatever their particularities, have the right to enjoy financial services. And digital advances make this access even easier. In Spain, both public and private measures have been promoted in recent years to avoid financial exclusion, especially in rural areas and among older people or people with disabilities.

As of June 28, 2025, all new contracts to be signed will have to meet these accessibility requirements. Contracts signed before that date may remain unchanged, but may not be extended beyond 28 June 2030.

These measures seek to ensure that all people, regardless of their abilities, can access and use financial services on an equal basis.
