OECD: comparing financial literacy across different countries

15/12/2023

On 14 December the OECD published a study comparing financial literacy levels in different countries, including Spain. It is based on coordinated surveys using consistent standards in each of the participating countries. The data for Spain is drawn from the Survey of Financial Competences,Abre en ventana nueva which was published in November.

The report can be found via the following linkAbre en ventana nueva. At first glance, Spaniards seem to score slightly above the OECD average and other participating countries in financial literacy, yet interestingly perform slightly worse in terms of financial behaviour. It’s certainly food for thought.
