The three finalist teams of the 14th edition of the Generation €uro Contest have been announced. After receiving and analyzing the 48 proposals submitted by the teams in the second phase, the jury, composed of experts from the Banco de España, has selected the following teams:
- Mercury, from the Liceo Español Cervantes in Rome
- Granadineros, from the IES Severo Ochoa de Granada
- DSM team, from the German School of Madrid
The finalist teams have until March 5 to submit a proposal on the decision they believe should be made by the Governing Council of the European Central Bank at its next meeting on March 6. They will present their work to the the jury at the Banco de España headquarters in Madrid.
The Generation €uro competition, the first held during the 2011-2012 academic year, aims to raise awareness of the Eurosystem’s monetary policy.
The competition is part of the initiatives that the Banco de España develops in the field of economic and financial education and is an opportunity to get closer to the public and publicize the activities carried out by the Bank of Spain and the Eurosystem, in particular, for the dissemination of the fundamental role played by our institution in relation to price stability.
