On 4 October we will be celebrating Financial Education Day

02/09/2021

As we do every year on the first Monday of October, on 4 October we will be celebrating Financial Education Day, an initiative by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and the Banco de España, in partnership with the institutions and associations taking part in the Financial Education Plan.

The initiative aims to raise public awareness of the importance of being financially literate in order to make responsible decisions.

The theme this year is Tus finanzas, también sostenibles (Make your finances sustainable). This message aims to convey the importance of incorporating sustainability in your personal finances.

The main event will take place at the Banco de España’s Cibeles office and can be followed live on the Finanzas para Todos website.

Like every year, the event will include the final of the 5th Financial Literacy Competition and the presentation of the Finanzas Para Todos Awards to those institutions or individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to financial education.

Further, an extensive list of outreach activities organised by the CNMV, the Banco de España and their partners in the Plan will be announced over the coming days. Our programme will soon be available on the Finanzas Para Todos website.

The Virtual Charity Run for Financial Education and Inclusion is one of our long-standing events. Runners have it down in their diaries for 26 September at the Valdebebas Woodland Park. Anyone preferring not to travel can take part virtually on 23-26 September.

And as we do every year, we have organised our table tennis day, open to all comers in Madrid’s Plaza de Colón on the morning of 3 October.

See you there!
