Visit to the Banco de España by pupils with intellectual disabilities
24/09/2018
The Banco de España is opening its doors to a group of pupils with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties to show them round its premises.
The beneficiaries of the activity are participants in Fundación ONCE’s “Finanzas Inclusivas” project, an initiative to promote financial education among individuals with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties. The project won the first edition of the Financial Education Plan’s Finanzas para TodosAbre en ventana nueva Award.
The activity was financed with the money raised by the I Carrera Solidaria por la Educación Financiera y la InclusiónAbre en ventana nueva charity run held last year in the Casa de Campo, Madrid, to mark the Día de la Educación FinancieraAbre en ventana nueva (Financial Education Day).
As well as visiting the Banco de España’s historic premises, Finanzas Inclusivas participants will learn how to distinguish genuine euro banknotes from counterfeits and how the institution safeguards the public in the financial sphere.
