Financial autonomy of people with disabilities

The Spanish Public Prosecutor's Office, banking associations and the Banco de España have signed a protocol to ensure the financial autonomy of people with disabilities.

This agreement is intended to guarantee the financial inclusion of these people and at the same time adapt the entities’ practice to the law in this area.

The Spanish Banking Association (AEB), the Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks (CECA) and the Spanish Union of Credit Cooperatives (UNACC), representing the sector, and the Spanish Public Prosecutor's Office, have signed the agreement, with the Banco de España in the role of observer.
