Generation €uro Students’ Award: second-round qualifiers
03/11/2025
Nearly 1,300 upper-secondary and intermediate vocational training students took part in the first round of the 15th edition of Generation €uro, our competition for schools that revolves around monetary policy.
In total, 318 teams from 83 schools across Spain entered the competition. Of these, the 71 highest-scoring teams qualified for the second round.
On 21 November, the Banco de España headquarters will host a seminar for the teachers of the 71 qualifying teams. The session will offer guidance on how best to approach the competition’s second phase.
The Generation €uro Students’ Award is aimed at upper secondary and intermediate vocational training students and is organised by the Banco de España. It’s intended to improve young people’s understanding of euro area monetary policy and how it ties into the broader economy.
Teams that have qualified for the competition’s second round have until 4 February to submit an analytical proposal on monetary policy. A panel of experts will then select three teams for the final.
Full details of this year’s edition are available in the newly revamped education sectionAbre en ventana nueva on the Banco de España website.
