COVID-19: The deadline for applying for moratoria has expired

21/10/2020

The deadline for applying for moratorium measures on mortgage and non-mortgage loan repayments expired on 29 September. These measures, aimed at mitigating some of the economic fallout of COVID-19, were approved by the government in mid-March. Likewise, the deadline for applying for the moratoria that many banks have offered voluntarily under certain sectoral agreements has also expired.

These measures were adopted with the aim of alleviating the debt burden of citizens in situations of economic vulnerability caused or aggravated by the COVID-19 crisis.
