A little financial education goes a long way

20/12/2021

Have you ever left revision until the day before a big test? Or had a puncture, only to realise your car has no spare tyre? Similarly, waiting until the last minute is often a bad idea when taking out a financial product. You get overwhelmed by information and, pressed for time, you may end up arranging a product without considering important aspects.

Taking some time to learn about financial products can make life easier when one is presented to you. The fact that you are reading this post suggests it is an issue that you take seriously. So how is your financial literacy? Take the test to find out (in Spanish).

How did you do? Regardless of your score, the main thing is that you are aware of how important these issues are, since they are (or will be) part and parcel of your daily life. Get into the habit of checking this portal on a regular basis: search the section on Banking Products and Services for anything you are unsure about or to find out more about any of the questions you got wrong. Check these posts regularly and make the most of the other resources available to you here.

Bear in mind that financial products are constantly changing, not only because banks develop new products in response to the circumstances at any given time, but also because of the emergence of new technologies. And remember to keep up to date with the latest scams to protect yourself from fraud.

But if you are like those students opening their books the night before the exam (we have all been there at one point or another), don’t worry, we are here to help you. Search this portal for information or send us an enquiryAbre en ventana nueva and we will try to point you in the right direction. In any event, remember not to rush into a decision; don’t decide anything until you are sure you know what you are doing.
