Full information on your future mortgage in a single document

09/03/2023

When you apply for a mortgage, the bank is required to provide you with personalised information on its mortgage offer before you sign the contract. It will do so using the European Standardised Information Sheet (FEIN by its Spanish abbreviation), which sets out the key information for you to compare offers before deciding which suits you best.

Banks cannot make provision of the FEIN conditional upon you taking out additional products, such as a bank account or insurance policy, even if they are free of charge.

Remember, under transparency regulations banks must provide you with the FEIN, setting out free and legally binding information about their mortgage offer.
