Fee for home collection or delivery of cash

If you want your bank to come to your home to collect or deliver cash, you may be charged a fee. If the amounts involved are very large, banks must use cash-in-transit companies and in this case may charge an additional fee for the expenses incurred, duly justified.

What requirements must be met in order to charge this fee?

  • The fees charged by banks are unrestricted, except in cases where they are limited by law. In the case of the fee for the home collection or delivery of cash, there is no limit, so each bank can establish the fee it chooses.
  • The bank must inform you of the fee amount before the transaction is performed.
